Bio:

Brien DeChristopher was born in Rochester, New York and grew up on both sides of the globe (Guam to Florida). He began playing guitar after meeting Ace Frehley when he was 11 years young at a KISS concert in Lakeland, FL and has been playing ever since.

At the age of 15, he began playing in bands and, ultimately, clubs around the Tampa Bay area where he shared the stage with bands like Iced Earth, Savatage, Obituary, Crimson Glory, and Morbid Angel. Brien jumped around from band to band until settling into "Arsenal" in 1991. The band later changed it's name to "PeaceChild" just prior to disbanding in 2001. Brien then relocated to Seattle where he spent the next 8 years forming a more personal sound through his playing as well as matching the appropriate gear to attain an original tone. He also used that time to network and get to know area musicians and formed Agents Of Chaos in 2009.

Brien's influences and style come from listening to players such as Gary Moore, David Gilmore, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Randy Rhoads, Michael Schenker, Jimmy Page, and Brian Greenway of April Wine. He also toutes John Petrucci, Ritchie Blackmore, Steve Vai and Joe Satriani as influencers that incite him to personally practice his craft more without allowing their styles to more than slightly "color" his playing. Brien is a predominantly self-taught musician with a "bluesy" to "progressive" and sometimes "grungy" style. "I learned how to play guitar by listening and mimicking records by Van Halen, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, etc.", says Brien, "I think that VH and Priest taught me scales, chords, and technique, but Iron Maiden taught me ENDURANCE (laughs)."

Brien's love of music includes the eclectic forms of latin jazz to modern and even classic rock... From Al DiMeola to Testament... but never waivers very far from Rock, Hard Rock and Metal music.
