Bio:

Jake McCoy was born in Bellingham Washington. He grew up in a college town surrounded by farms, and factories. Jakes influences came from growing up situated perfectly between Vancouver, Canada's new booming rock scene, and Seattle's legendary "grunge" era. At 12 years of age Jake started performing vocally in school and by 16 he was being professionally trained.

In addition to singing, Jake raced motocross and snowboarded like a mad man. "I had a death wish for years," McCoy says with a smile "If it didn't go fast or launch you into the air I just wasn't interested." After a few years of abusing himself by breaking bones and other various injuries, he concentrated more directly on music. "I had always gotten an attitude, influence, and inspiration from music to fuel my extreme lifestyle. Now that attitude is expressed and fuels my songwriting."

By 18 he started up his first rock band called "ShureFire". This band was made up of primarily Canadian members getting Jake into a lot of hot Vancouver venues opening for national acts for the first time. After 4 years the band split up and he began developing the group "Thunderhead". Although Thunderhead had a promising sound, it did not have a solid enough foundation of members to accommodate longevity, thus, the band broke up in less than a year.

Out of nowhere came "Dryver". Formed between Jake and a close friend, "Dryver" went on to stir things up in Seattle having a dynamic, modern, and commercial sound with a hint of the Seattle flare. As is common with many bands, they ultimately broke up in mid 2010.

Now Jake finds his home with Seattle Rock Band "Agents Of Chaos". Where he resides not only as main vocalist, but primary lyricist as well.

Jake's influences come mainly from the late Layne Staley of Alice In Chains, Chris Cornell of Soundgarden, Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam,and Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots. Jake also acknowledges influences from other genres of music -- anything from "Metallica" to "Our Lady Peace".
